Math Heads from Theatrix Interactive teaches kids about different math activities in a gameshow-like environment. Players build bodies for themselves, choosing headgear, faces and bodies from a variety of on-screen choices. These become the icons that represent them through the various activities in the program.

These games include: “Go Mental”, “Dance ‘Til you Drop”, “Face the Music”, “Go Shopping” and the “Infomercial Channel”.

By solving problems successfully, players gain cash and can use the money to “Go Shopping”, buying math tricks, jokes, games and puzzles, more math problems, or additional heads, headgear and bodies.

Ten different stores are available for choosing from, with each store emphasizing a different sort of math problem. ## Mighty Math Number Heroes

Third through sixth graders will have a blast with the Number Heroes while they strengthen math skills and build math confidence.

Exciting activities teach multiplication and division, plane geometry, fractions, graphs and charts, probability and more.

Fraction Man uses fireworks and fractions become very clear. Kids can make their own fraction fireworks or answer questions. Students start with basic fractions and move on to comparing fractions, finding equivalent fractions and converting decimals to fractions. This activity is amazing.

Exploring probabilities with Handsome Chance is a blast. Students read graphs and charts, predict outcome and determine probability all while making action figures. Kids can test their hypothesis with the probability machine.

Geobot challenges students to think geometrically. Kids build geometric shapes and designs while learning concepts like perimeter, area, congruence, similarity, symmetry, rotation and tessellations. Understanding is easy when you can visualize the concepts.

Quizzo Challenge is a galactic game show where kids compete against wacky contestants or their friends. Students solve addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, analogy, shape identification, sorting and sequencing problems.

## Number Munchers

Game play begins with four Muncher lives (the one currently in play, plus three others in reserve). After scoring a certain number of points, the player gains an extra life. Players lose a life if they swallow an incorrect answer. Additionally, five different types of enemy (or “Troggle”) appear throughout the game. Players lose a life if they make contact with a Troggle. There are five modes of play: Multiples, Factors, Primes, Equality, and Inequality. Players can also choose from a “challenge” mode, which randomizes these modes. In the Multiples mode, the muncher must munch all numbers which are multiples of the number given; for example, if the designated number is 3 then the muncher must eat all 6′s, 9′s, and 12′s and avoid numbers such as 7. In Factors the muncher seeks to ingest the factors of a given number, in Primes he craves prime numbers, and in the Equality and Inequality modes the muncher devours expressions such as 2+4 which are equivalent or not equivalent (respectively) to the designated number.

As they navigate hazardous undersea mazes, players interpret data found in charts, graphs, maps, and tables and solve word problems involving measurement concepts such as area, distance, and volume.
